Engineering Imagination

Hello! My name is Daniel and I design for kids.

I partner with purpose-led brands, educators, sports organizations, governments, Indigenous communities and nonprofits to design playful experiences that help young audiences learn, connect, and feel welcome.

Because the future belongs to curious minds.

Brands I’ve Worked With

Why Great Design for Kids Matters:

Learning through play sets the foundational skills critical to a child’s social and emotional development.

Currently, there is a large gap in the market for fun resources that foster creative problem solving and critical thinking skills in kids. Specifically interactive activities that integrate Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics – all of which are key in supporting future economic and community prosperity.

Furthermore, there is an even larger gap in kids’ content that supports neurodivergent learners. It’s my goal to be part of the solution that addresses this gap.

Because in today's rapidly evolving world, where technology and creativity intersect, nurturing a child's curiosity and fostering their multidisciplinary and critical thinking skills is paramount.

Published in the Simon Fraser University Educational Review, winter 2023, ISSN 1916-050X (online). Special Issue: Disrupting and decentering dominant science education teaching practices.

Bringing art and science together to tell a story, Decoding discusses ways in which we can make classrooms more accessible for neurodivergent students through empathy and challenging educational norms.

This is the largest academic journal to date for the SFU Educational Review. I’m proud to be part of such a diverse group of contributors, and encourage all to view the entire journal.
